If you’re going to stand by tradition with a waistcoat, then you just can’t take tweet material out of the equation. For a timelessly classic look, go for a waistcoat that syncs with your jacket. This doesn’t necessarily mean that they be of the same color, but can be neutral tones such as brown, grey or khaki. For an even more sophisticated look, team up the waistcoat and jacket with tailored chinos or jeans. For a vintage look, pick wool trousers or even all-over tweed. Accessorize the outfit with boots of black or brown brogues to complete the effect.
