We’re talking about the present moment; here is another semi-casual suit that historically was the less formal version of morning dress or morning suit- lounge suit. The lounge suit, as we know, is kind of an umbrella term, and comes with both two-and three-piece suits. If an invitation reads “lounge suit” instead of “cocktail attire” as dress code, you can well expect that your office suit should be slightly formal in nature, rather than tailored eveningwear.
