Dress Like A Man From The 1940s

When I first looked at this vintage collection, I felt there was nothing back in the 1940s to relieve men of the added burden of even a tropical worsted jacket for formal dress. Then, men started to wear a thin terry cloth shirt with a collar like in the above to eliminate their formal pique shirt and black tie. There was nothing stopping the right to this freedom.
