Double-breasted suit buttoning rules for men

Lately, we have seen the buttoning rules for single-breasted suits. Today, let’s explore the rules for a double-breasted suit. 

Irrespective of whether your suit is double-breasted with 2, 4, or 6 buttons, at least one button must always be fastened, and the rest of the buttons could either be optional or for decorative (non-functional) purposes. You can follow a 4×1, 6×2, or 6×3 pattern wherein the first number represents the total buttons and the second number represents the number of buttons to be fastened.
