Disco clothing, like the ’70s, fused wide-ranging fashions together like no other movement had. In hot nightclubs in New York City or The Palace in Paris, dressing for a disco gave the chance to wear your personality, similar to a costume. With flashing lights, loud and boisterous music, and a spinning disco ball, chances for conversation were slim; therefore, the disco costume defined the fashion.
