Is black his favorite?

#ToplinerThursdays

We often see the singer, songwriter, and record producer Marcus Mumford in black—perhaps it should be his favorite color. Anyway, did you admire his ensemble at the Oscars Awards 2024? It was a multi-layered outfit with an extra-long coat, lapelled waistcoat, shirt, and necktie. The overcoat’s lapels were wide and notch-type. The waistcoat lapel, shirt, and necktie were in satin silk, adding some glossiness to the ensemble.

Wait! Did you also notice his tinted glasses and jewelry on his right ear?

A slight fall touch in casual men’s attire

The ensemble encompasses a simple checkered casual blazer, a pair of semi-formal trousers, and the usual white dress shirt. The light gray base, along with the two or more color plaid checks, makes the blazer an ideal choice for smart casual in the fall.

Customize the lapels and pockets to your needs. And here you go—a simple mix-and-match men’s suit with minimal apparel and accessories.

Questlove, the American drummer, graced the red carpet in a custom cashmere suit. The overcoat is textured in black and white and has no collar. The inner layer and the bottom were kept black to match the jacquard-woven overcoat. While the top inner layer has a turtle neck, the bottom is entirely relaxed and almost baggy. Kudos to his choice of wearing Crocs only for comfort.

A business suit in three shades of blue!

#WearItWednesdays

The double-breasted two-piece suit in blue is made of 100% wool and has light windowpane checks. The dress shirt underneath has ‘gingham’ checks in blue and white. The necktie is in navy blue with scattered prints. Together, these three shades of blue blend well with one another and, as a whole, make it a good choice of business suit for this fall!

However, you can personalize the shoes, watch, belt, or other accessories in addition to customizing the lapels and pockets.

How about a jumper for fall?

#TeachingsTuesdays

Jumpers are wool-made knitted sweaters that help cover and bring warmth to the upper part of the body. In other words, Americans call this piece of clothing a sweater, whereas the British call them jumpers. Besides, these are definitely a wardrobe staple in the fall and winter seasons for the insulation they provide.

How many sweaters or jumpers have you included in your closet for fall this year?

What do you think about Lionel Richie’s suit?

#ToplinerThursdays

We still remember the dragonfly suit that the music legend wore at the Grammy Awards this year. How about you? Truly, the asymmetrical crystal-embellished dragonfly impressed everyone, including us. The black suit greatly emphasized the glowing embroidered crystals. Otherwise, the suit was ordinary with double breasts, flap pockets, and peak lapels. The shirt was unique, with the first button way downwards.
