Types of layers for men in autumn!

#TeachingsTuesdays

Men need different types of layers to style in autumn—for two reasons—aesthetics and functionality. Well, here are some layers that you can consider and, according to us, that serve both purposes.

Jackets—the thick layer that extends up to your waist

Overcoats—similar to jackets but might extend to thighs or knees

Sweaters—an insulating layer useful for fall and winter

Vests—the thick protective layer that goes underneath

Cardigans—similar to sweaters but with front zip or button closures for easy handling

“A man’s manners are a mirror in which he shows his portrait.” —Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

A mirror is a perfect reflection of what comes in front. Likewise, a man’s manners, attitude, or behavior are like a mirror reflection of his inner portrait, personality, or character. So, be it your gestures or dressing style, they matter much, as they reflect what and who you are from inside.

The most common smart casual fall suit style for men

#FreestyleFridays

Wearing any blazer with matching suit trousers and a white button-up dress shirt completes the smart casual style. However, to have the autumn touches, you can choose to wear flannel, wool-made, or cashmere fabrics to tailor your suit sets. A waistcoat is totally an option for early autumn days. However, they are essential when winter is nearing in the late fall. Notably, neckties are not required for this kind of smart look.

How can someone not say the British actor’s suit looked dapper? Definitely, they looked dapper and stole the show. The gray color might look usual to many, but as a whole, the suit was distinctively styled with fabric selection and tailoring specifications. The most eye-catching elements in his ensemble were the matching ‘Glen-check’ necktie, the contrasting black buttons, and the flap-type pocket squares.

Cable-knitted sweaters for men

#TeachingsTuesdays

We know knitted sweaters are useful and appropriate for fall and winter days. How about cable-knit sweaters? Truly, they are a style statement in cold weather. As layering becomes important, so do these stylish cable knits. They are uniquely textured to give different knit patterns. Functionality-wise, they provide great insulation.

When layered on your shirts, they give a smart casual look. On the contrary, when layered underneath, they are less visible and thus considered neutral.

“Style is when they’re running you out of town and you make it look like you’re leading the parade.” —William Battie.

By this quote, the author conveys that style isn’t just about appearance or aesthetics. It can influence your confidence levels, state of mind, and, in fact, your decisions. For example, when you style and present yourself right, even in difficult times or critical phases of life or profession, you get positivity, self-confidence, and the strength to face unfavorable situations.

So, for you to become successful and gain positivity and confidence through your dressing style or attire, do learn to style your suits the right way.

Of course, flannel shirts are a timeless choice in the fall. Indeed, the hues and plaids on flannel shirts are plentiful and it becomes difficult for every man to buy only a few of them.

You can wear any checkered or plaid flannel shirt with a plain jacket or blazer and a matching pair of trousers. This gives you a perfect fall casual style. Moreover, adding minimal accessories and keeping it tieless completes the outfit.

Roll-neck sweaters for autumn!

#TeachingsTuesdays

Most men confuse between a roll-neck and a turtleneck sweater. They all might look the same when glanced at, but when paid attention to detail, they all look different. Roll-neck sweaters are knitted wool with rolled-down neck collars towards the torso. On the other hand, turtleneck sweaters are less chunky and thin than the former ones. Also, the latter gives a tight fit to the neck. Irrespective, both are ideal for fall and winter layers.
