The Open-Collar Shirt

The Open-Collar Shirt
A nice-fitting button-down shirt spells absolute business casual style; take a much needed break from basic oxfords, as you think of options, they are quite aplenty. Why not try a camp-collar shirt for a cool look that still means business? Reserve the tropical prints for outings—a classic pattern or solid color is a lot of fun.

Right Pocket Square For A Suit!!

#TeachingTuesdays
While your tailored shirt and the tie you pick add to your overall look, it is the pocket square that invariably calls the shots. Whether bold and striking hues or subtle shades, it all depends squarely on what you need to achieve. But one thing is for use, this small square of material can impact your style greater than you could even think of.

Men’s Formal Suit Fabrics

#MotivationalMondays
“Thunder is good, thunder is impressive; but it is lightning that does the work.” – Mark Twain
The warmer months are good, the optimism infectious, but definitely not the heat, particularly when the cardinal rule to dress yourself on a Monday is a business suit. The safest bet is to pick natural fiber materials such as cotton that allow evaporation of sweat from your skin. Yeah, that extra amount of moisture needs to be soaked up, cooling your body down in the process. You need this and more!

Classic Summer pieces that should be in every man’s wardrobe

Sometimes in life you don’t have to dress to kill to impress your guests or onlookers, or throw on everything under the sun like the floral Cuban collar shirt or trousers to make heads turn, you simply need to nail the basics with a properly fitted white T-shirt or sleek and dandy penny loafers. Here are some classic summer pieces that deserve a place in every man’s closet.

Grey Tailored Trousers:

Grey Tailored Trousers
Contrary to popular opinion, tailored trousers aren’t just constructed for the everyday office variety. Cut slim with a tapered fit, tailored trousers are casual wear that’s a step up from your typical weekend gear, which can also double as a great pick for summer wedding separates. Tailored trousers are a men’s wardrobe staple, and switching to a lighter shade is a great way to stock your wardrobe this summer. Choosing a light grey tone teams well with pastels or neutrals for a cool summer look.

White Long-Sleeved Shirt:

How many shirts do you think you can own, or rotate use on a daily basis? A functional shirt is a white long-sleeved version. It’s not just constructed for the doctors, bankers and lawyers and top-level professionals, but a solid choice that can easily transcend professional wear demands, and turn to an occasional casual outfit. For summer, I recommend going for a linen option for an extra layer of breathability pairing with a light colored chinos, accessorizing with loafers.

Printed Short-Sleeved Shirt:

Fast Fashion knew no bounds, and that is evident from the way it makes selection a chore. Even crazy street fashion knows a souvenir jacket is chic and trendy. What about a printed shirt sporting the style of Harry Styles or Rami Malek? Infuse a bit of animation to a suit, or style solo alongside your favorite chinos or jeans. You can even go for Hawaiian shirt if it is a good fit. Pick bold, bright colors and distinct patterns and pair this with basic separates—the shirt will speak for itself.

Cotton Polo Shirt:

There are several classics in the range of men’s wear, but the polo shirt is definitely a cut above the rest. The grand old style, under the brand name of Lacoste and Fred Perry, has literally remained unfazed ever since it was first introduced in the early 20th century. This timeless sporting piece can still challenge the newer roll-outs, and can be paired with anything from tailored trousers to swim shorts. What I recommend: Pick a polo shirt in blue and pink, and pair with matching navy shorts and accessorize with some white trainers.

Lightweight Blazer:

Light Weight Blazer
Needless to say, a lightweight, slightly deconstructed blazer not only keeps you smart in warmer months, but with the use of fabrics like seersucker, linen and cotton, you’ll also look chic and not too formal this summer. Experiment with a printed revere collar and make a strong style statement throughout the season.

That isn’t everything we have for you in this blog. Do feel free to tag along more classic summer pieces this summer.

The Best Summer Fabric For A Wedding Attire

“It’s not about what it is. It’s about what it can become.” – Dr. Seuss
Wedding suit fashion is on the loose, and let us give it a different try with matte suits made from cotton, soft linens and summer wool frescos during sunny days, whereas warm flannel and 3-piece suits are perfect for winter moon weddings, whether you’re the groom or friend of a groom.

A Right Pair Of Slim Chinos And A Shirt – Dress Down Friday

#FreestyleFridays
Here is a more accessible option: the slim-leg chino can turn out to be a wardrobe stable, and is quite versatile. The flattering shape can fit any type of formal or casual outfit, and its cotton twill construction offers a high level of comfort which can put denim to shame. The right pair of slim chinos can be teamed up with a shirt and blazer on Dress-Down Friday and even in business casual environments. You can also pair it with trainers and a T-shirt for the weekend. Ensure the fit is just right. Go for a style with a slight taper to the leg and mid rise.

Surge In Popularity Of Menswear

#ThrowbackThursdays
Just like women’s wear turned out to be more casual and colorful throughout the 1960s, so too did menswear. The mid-to late-1950s witnessed a surge in the popularity of Italian style suits with narrow striped ties; menswear gradually welcomed brighter colors and patterns, and ties began to widen again with every passing year.

Should You Wear Jeans with a Jacket?

#WearitWednesdays
Can I pair jeans with jackets that have different colors & patterns?
I’d say yes, but only when you understand the different colors, as well as patterns and materials because that’s more interesting or contrasting, but also more casual, and it goes better with jeans.
Features: Notched lapels because peak lapels are too formal; patch pockets because they’re more formal than flat pockets or jetted pockets.
Patterns: Little houndstooth pattern or a small micro check are a classic Prince of Wales check or even multi color window panes.
Jacket colors: Lighter shades of blue, maybe a lighter blue or even a royal blue.
Always wear a solid color shirt with a pattern and a pattern shirt to make a statement with a solid color!

Bucco’s Guide To Pant Breaks

#TeachingTuesdays
Let’s attempt to understand what a ‘Break’ in pants is. The break is the fold or bend above the cuff of the leg created when the leg’s fabric is longer than your physical leg.
A full break is when the pant forms a deep crease–the leg breaks so much that any more length may result in a second break. A half, or medium break, is between these extremes–the line of the pant bends conspicuously, but not much. A quarter, or a slight break, is when the trouser meets the shoe and breaks, but only to some extent.

The Dark Double Breasted Suit Work Attire

#MotivationalMondays
“Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” – Confucius
Here’s a suit we recommend that’ll never let you down (even if it is the n-th time) – the Dark Double Breasted Suit or DB: A dark ‘DB’ is good enough to rotate for everyday use. But with the shape, sheen and sharp lapels, it has got enough swag about it for those times you need to wear a suit but don’t want to look like you have just come out of your office shift – e.g. weddings and cocktail attire invitations. Just ensure the cut is trim, and not too long in the jacket.

A Simply Versatile Outfit For The Big Day

#WeddingsByBucco
“A marriage is not a noun; it’s a verb. It isn’t something you get. It’s the way you love your partner every day.” – Barbara De Angelis
Similarly, fashion isn’t a noun, but very much a verb. Let me explain this with a finely constructed single-breasted navy suit. It can go with almost everything, and simply versatile enough to wear for your big day as a casual jacket (or even post your big day), and is easily teamed up with wedding suit accessories, from lapel pins to pocket squares.
