A well-fitting button-down shirt is the go to go for your business casual wardrobe, and if you basic oxfords have become monotonous, there’re plenty of options right now. Go for a camp-collar shirt for a laid-back style and look that still spells business. Tag the tropical prints for vacation—a classic pattern or solid color is plenty cool.

Styling Men’s Wardrobe With 1970s Corduroy Trousers
#ThrowbackThursdays
Corduroy trousers in darker shades are an excellent starting point for those who’re feeling 1970s reserved. If you’re looking to wear corduroy in a subtle way, a pair of comfy cord trousers can alternate jeans or chinos. Narrow wales (or vertical cords) will always be less obvious than thicker styles, too. Add more zing to it with your regular sweatshirt, shirt or T-shirt, and you’re ready to go.

There Is Nothing Like A Well Tailored Man In A Well Tailored Suit
#WearitWednesdays
There is nothing like ‘first suit’. However, if I am pressed to select one, then, I’d pick charcoal grey, plain weave (no checks, no stripes and no herringbone) and yes, a bespoke one. You can simply wear a shirt and tie of any color of your choice with this one. Talk to me on fabric range, and just in case you want your first suit done at Bucco.
Best Occasion To Wear A Combo Of Shirt And Dark Indigo Denims
#TeachingTuesdays
I am, more often than not, asked what is the best occasion to wear a combo of shirt and dark indigo denims. I recommend to put on a white shirt and well-fitted dark indigo denims for partying, sightseeing, casual outing, office-wear (not if there’s a dress code), basically just about anywhere. Touch base with me if you want to know more.

The Ultimate Spring Style For Men – Part 1
1. In spring, do as Romans do…

2. Go light on your skin, and not bright:
My clients throw this question more often at me: Is going brighter in spring desirable? I recommend them to go lighter, not brighter. It isn’t advisable to wear a bright yellow or leprechaun green in spring to look dainty. Try out a lighter shade or two in your neutral to look flattering. For example, alternate dark indigo and dark grey with washed blue or lighter grey respectively; you’re ready to go.
3. The effect of layering:
Besides warmth, layering offers the much needed depth helping you to look unique from the regular t-shirt and jeans look. Kindly check all posts on our Facebook page on the art of layering for style and staying warm.
While many think that layering is meant only for the winter, you can follow the same techniques for spring too. The key is to get playful and creative with how you layer your outfit, and you’re ready to go! There’s more to follow on the ultimate spring guide for men in the subsequent blog post.

Crafting The Perfect Look For Your Big Day!

“Two souls with but a single thought, two hearts that beat as one.” – John Keats
Nothing presents challenges as much as crafting the best suit for the big day. Rarely does my heart fail to skip a beat no sooner than I commit myself to tailor a wedding suit. It’s like I am almost one with my client’s wedding spirit.
Fashion Hacks For Stylish Men
#FreestyleFridays
Do you know that one additional layer can turn a simple outfit into a fabulous one? Let me give you a simple hack, It’s a simple fix, and barely earth-shaking, but it just lends that bit more detail to your outfit, and makes it more visually appealing.
And never settle with one additional layer. You can wear two, three, even four layers at one time. The playground is yours!
1940s Trouser Suit
#ThrowbackThursdays
I was quite fascinated by the suit trousers of the early 1940s. Generally flat-fronted or with single pleats, they come with a high waist with a 3 inch waistband. Trouser legs were wide enough around the ankle, as a stark contrast to today’s “skinny” suits. Normally, they were either straight hemmed at the bottom as needed during the war, or featured 2-inch trouser cuff (turnups) which most men actually preferred.

Tips To Get Your Office Dressing Right
#WearitWednesdays
Do you need to wear a blazer everyday to work? I’d say YES as with the right shirt and trouser combo, you can look sharper and smarter than every office personnel who looks to maintaining his stuffy two-piece look day in and day out.
Men’s business casual usually includes business dress pants, or pressed slacks and long-sleeve button-down shirts, dress shirts sweaters or polo shirts. You should also choose professional-looking closed-toe shoes such as loafers, oxfords and brogues with dark dress socks. You should also wear a belt that matches your shoes. While you may opt to wear a tie with your dress shirt, a jacket is typically not required in a business casual environment but wearing a sport jacket can make a big difference in the end result. Remember the way you look and dress can make the deal or kill the deal.

A Man’s Style In Relation To His Body Type
#TeachingTuesdays
I am often asked which jacket style is more flattering for a substantial man.
A two-button jacket has lower button stance, longer lapel which means elongated torso. On the other hand, a three-button jacket works best if you’re tall and slender.
