Gray – Perfect color for smart casuals
#FreestyleFridays
There is a simple theory around which dressing smart casual is built upon: Darker colors tend to be viewed as more formal, which is why it’s a smart choice to go with black, gray, and navy as a base in your smart casual outfits. So, which color are you wearing today in terms of layering to dress smart casual?
60’s Classic Boater Suit
#ThrowbackThursdays
The classic boater suit staged a dramatic comeback in the 1960s with vertical striped sports coat, skinny necktie, blue trousers, red or blue belt, white oxford shoes, and boater hat. A striped shirt could be worn instead of a sports coat.

Tip To Hide Your Overly Long Sleeves
#TeachingTuesdays
Here’s an easy way to prevent overly long sleeves:
Simply wear a jacket or sweater on top of your dress shirt or button down. This extra layering will hide the excess length of your sleeves (It is autumn and layering works best).

Casual Wedding For This Fall

“A happy marriage is a long conversation which always seems too short.” – Andre Marois
What to wear for a casual wearing this fall or winter?
Are you gonna attend a casual wedding this fall or winter? My recommended wear is a knit sport coat (which looks seriously trim) teamed up with a turtleneck.
Pair Denim With White Shirt
#FreestyleFridays
This Friday, if I need to pick one single outfit type, it would be a dark unwashed denim paired with
crisp white shirt, and accessorized with tan loafers. You can go assuredly anywhere, and still feel like never too dressed up or dressed down. And it’s so facile to fine-tune this look to fit your destination, whether you want to dress casual or semi-casual. How about you? What would be your one choice this Friday?
Why Did Men Stop Wearing Hats?
#ThrowbackThursdays
Why did Men stop wearing hats?
When cars hit the roads, the general public gave up public transport so that they don’t have to walk to the train from home in the drizzle—they were protected by the car’s roof. There’s also a general theory that suggests that post-World War II situation knelt a death-blow to hats, as it poignantly reminded of the time people spent in uniform. War veterans totally abandoned the use of hats with civilian clothes post-war.
Add Layers To This Fall
#WearitWednesday
When it comes to mid-layers this fall, I recommend going for 2-3 versatile middle layers including vests and quarter zip sweaters (which are quite transposable). Add an extra layer of versatility with neutral colors including black, grey, navy, tan or brown. I’m sure you have a lot of inner layers (such as button up shirts) and outer layers (light weight jackets), but often tend to overlook the all-important middle layer.
Thumb Rule For Wearing A Tie
#TeachingTuesdays
There’s a rule of thumb when it comes to wearing a tie. The tie at its widest point should match the lapel at its widest point. This is important because it silhouettes the shape of your upper body.
