An Overview Of Three Major Suit Pocket Styles
#TeachingsTuesdays
Three major pocket styles for suits:
- Jetted or Besom Pocket: This is a common pocket style for jackets. It is sewn inside by having a cut in the base garment. And not sewn outside as an extra fitting.
- Flap Pocket: This is the most typical and extensively used pocket style for suits and overcoats. It is a kind of jetted pocket along with a flap.
- Patch Pocket: Unlike jetted pockets, these are sewn as a pocket bag outside the base garment. It could be an open patch or flapped patch. Open patch pockets are suitable for casual or sporty jackets.
