The first button always follows the standard button placement and the spacing between the collar and the button does not vary by any chance. Only for customized dress shirts, this may vary, i.e., be slightly raised or lowered based on the total shirt height. However, the standard space between the button center and the collar is kept at ​​2 ⅞ inches. In bespoke tailoring, this may change to 1 ⅞, 2 ⅜, or 3 ⅜ inches.
