The vent is nothing but that small slit noticeable on the backside of any jacket or blazer. When the vent is cut in the center, it is termed as a ‘center vent’. With a center vent suit, it tends to part a bit when you put your hands inside the pockets, sometimes exposing your back. Otherwise, the center vent should remain when you’re putting on the jacket. If the vent is parted when you put your hands inside the pockets, it indicates your jacket isn’t the right fit.
