Difference between a Shacket and an Overshirt
Theoretically, shackets and overshirts are interchangeable by name, and there are many who consider both outwear items to be the same (presumably by different brands).
My take is that a shacket pivots more on the jacket end of things with slightly thicker fabrics, a heavier hand-feel and increasingly jacket-like details. On the contrary, an overshirt feels more or less like a shirt but with a more comfortable fit compared to your regular button-up for laying it over other outfit pieces.
