In the 1940s, the zoot suit (alternately spelled zoot suit) was a highly fashionable and popular men’s suit featuring high-waisted, wide-legged, pegged trousers, slightly tight-cuffed and a longish coat constructed with wide padded shoulders and wide lapels.
