1940s Trouser Suit

I was quite fascinated by the suit trousers of the early 1940s. Generally flat-fronted or with single pleats, they come with a high waist with a 3 inch waistband. Trouser legs were wide enough around the ankle, as a stark contrast to today’s “skinny” suits. Normally, they were either straight hemmed at the bottom as needed during the war, or featured 2-inch trouser cuff (turnups) which most men actually preferred.
